A day at the broads

Hi, I hope where ever you are the sun is shining. At the time I am writing this the sun is out and the birds are singing the most beautiful songs to each other.

I love days like this most of all, as I can just sit in the garden getting as much fresh air as possible and all the sounds around me are my children, birds, the occasion lamb calling his mum or in the distance if i’m really quiet I can hear some cows in the nearby field. If you hadn’t already guessed I live in the country side, and when we have a day out we usually end up going to the woods or maybe the broads.

We found Salhouse broads a couple of months ago and are regulars there now. Usually staying for a picnic, and watching the boats go past. At this time of year there are beautiful bluebells covering a wide part of the wooded area and it always gets me imagining what magical creatures would live there.

One of my children’s favourite things to do is to go exploring and make up stories of fairies, elves or maybe dragons who live in the trees or underneath mushrooms.
